A robust cobot for industrial applications

The Doosan A0509 is designed for integration into industrial environments and delivers consistent motion during intensive use. Its repeatability of ±0.03 mm enables trajectories to be reproduced accurately, particularly for pick-and-place, machine tending, inspection and dispensing applications.

Its compact design and flexible mounting options facilitate installation on a production line, workstation, frame or industrial machine. Depending on the application requirements, the arm can be mounted on the floor, wall or ceiling.

A true collaborative robot

The A0509 uses current sensors and safety algorithms to detect collisions. It incorporates 18 safety functions that allow its behaviour to be configured according to the collaborative application and working environment.

Compliance of the final installation depends on the installed tool, operating environment, selected speeds and the risk assessment carried out for the application.

A platform for research and education

The A0509 can be used as an experimental platform for developing projects involving robotic manipulation, vision, control, trajectory planning and human-robot interaction.

The DART Platform is used to program and configure the robot. APIs and resources compatible with ROS 2 are also available for developing custom applications, working with the robot model and using tools commonly employed in robotics research.

These capabilities can be used to study:

  • Object grasping and positioning
  • Trajectory planning and control
  • Integration of cameras and perception systems
  • Coordination between navigation and manipulation
  • Human-robot interaction
  • Programming of collaborative applications

Integration with an AGV or AMR

The Doosan A0509 is available with a CS-04 DC controller designed to facilitate integration with an AGV, AMR or other mobile platform. This configuration can be used to develop a mobile manipulator capable of moving between several workstations and performing grasping, loading or inspection operations.

The arm can also be integrated with an outdoor mobile base for research projects involving mobile manipulation, robot positioning in front of an object, or coordination between locomotion and manipulation.

Controllers and programming tools

CS-03 AC controller

The AC controller is intended for fixed installations powered from the mains. It manages the robot’s power supply, communications, inputs and outputs, and safety functions.

CS-04 DC controller

More compact, the DC controller facilitates integration of the A0509 with a DC-powered mobile platform, including an AGV or AMR.

DART Platform

The DART Platform brings together the Doosan Robotics tools used to configure, program and control the robot through a dedicated interface.

Control devices

Depending on the selected configuration, the A0509 can be used with different control devices, including the Cockpit, Smart Pendant or Teach Pendant. The equipment included should be confirmed when configuring the order.
